ParentPay

ParentPay enables parents/carers to make secure payments for their child's lunches and school trips.

ParentPay Activation

When pupils join Hodge Hill College, parents/carers are issued with a ParentPay Activation Letter that contains a temporary ParentPay username and password. As part of the account activation, the parent/carer will need to choose an email address and new password to use with ParentPay. Parents/carers should follow the instructions in the letter, and on www.parentpay.com to successfully activate their account. If you have more than one child at our school or have children in other schools that use ParentPay, you can create a single account to manage them all.

Forgotten Password

If a parent/carer can't get into their ParentPay account, they should go to www.parentpay.com > For Parents > Parent Login, and click on the "Forgotten password" link. Parents/carers should not need to contact school to regain access to ParentPay accounts.

Outstanding Balances

If you have an unpaid balance on your child's ParentPay account, we kindly request you to settle it as soon as possible by logging into your account. 

If you need help with adding credit to the account, please visit the School Office with your debit card.

ParentPay is down/crashing

We apologise for the difficulties you are having with ParentPay. We recommend that you try again later as the issue may be temporary.

I cannot make payments via ParentPay

If you would like assistance with making a payment:

• Visit www.parentpay.com 
• Click on For Parents
• Click on Parent Login
• Click on Pay for Meals / Pay for Other Items
• Type in the amount you wish to add to your account
• Click Add to Basket
• Click on the Basket icon
• Click on Proceed to Checkout
• Click on Other Payment Method
• Type in Payment Card Details
• Click on Review Payment

You should now see the payment confirmation.

If the card payment or direct debit/one-click payment is failing:

As a school, we advise making a one-time payment instead. This may be due to insufficient funds in your bank account.

I would like to cancel my Direct Debit

As a school, we do not have access to your bank account information. Please contact your bank to cancel any direct debit agreements between you and ParentPay. You can also turn off direct debit payments by clicking on the money icon and selecting turn off one-click payments

My child was refused food in the canteen / Deficit on account

All pupils are allowed to go £2.60 over their meal account limit before it is locked. When adding funds to your ParentPay account, you must add enough to cover the negative balance and pay for your child's meals. Until you can top up or clear the balance, your child must bring a packed lunch from home.

I cannot access my ParentPay account / I have forgotten my password / I have a new email address

If your email address is the same as the one you registered with:

• Visit www.parentpay.com
• Click on For Parents
• Click on Parent Login
• Click on Forgotten your password?
• Type in your email address
• Click on Next and you will receive an email
• Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password

If you no longer have access to the email address you registered with, please call the school on 0121 783 7807 or email enquiry@hodgehill.bham.sch.uk.

I cannot see a trip on my ParentPay

We apologise for any difficulties you are having with ParentPay. Please try signing out of ParentPay and signing back in to refresh the account.

My child is eligible for free school meals, why are they being charged?

If your child is eligible for Free School Meals, they have a spending limit of £2.60 per day, anything they spend over this amount will need to be paid for by yourself.

To apply and check your eligibility, please complete the Free School Meals application at www.hodgehill.bham.sch.uk/freeschoolmeals.

My child’s biometrics are being used by someone else

Please call the school immediately on 0121 783 7807 or email enquiry@hodgehill.bham.sch.uk. We will check your child's biometrics and re-take them if necessary. 

I have been charged for an item I/my child did not purchase

Please call the school on 0121 783 7807 or email enquiry@hodgehill.bham.sch.uk. and we will look into this for you.
